One of two debut colorways of the silhouette, the Jordan Series.01 ‘Anthracite’ is a lifestyle shoe. Also known as the ‘Dear Mike,’ the shoe pays tribute to a young Michael Jordan, whose competitive fire was stoked by his older brother Larry. As a result, ‘Dear Mike’ appears on the Jumpman-branded tongue tag, with ‘Swing for the Fences’ on the left insole. Built with suede and leather, the shoe’s upper appears in black, contrasted underfoot by the white rubber midsole. The white rubber outsole sports ’45/2,’ a nod to Jordan’s selection of 23 as a jersey number because of his belief that if he was half as good as Larry, who wore 45, he’d be on the path to success.
